INFILLING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
The infilling of the holy spirit is the Enduement of power from on high in a baptismal measure upon saved and sanctified believers. It is a continuous deeper Christian experience which brings a believer into deeper and higher communion with God " 1 Corinthians 2:9-13". The challenges and necessity of maintaining a victorious Christian life and engaging in a productive service for the master are not in any way less fir believers today than the were for the first disciples and apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. This underscores necessity of being filled with the spirit of God today. A life born of the spirit can only be brought up and built up by the spirit, else it becomes dry and dead, John 3:6.

The holy scripture is filled with numerous promises concerning the infilling or baptism of the holy Spirit fir believers Ezekiel 36:11; Joel 2:28-29; John 14:15-27, 16:7 Luke 24:49; Matthew 3:11. God's promises are as reliable as God himself; every one including you who satisfies the necessary conditions can claim them and get the blessings. The holy spirit is not just a supernatural force that moves believers but divine personality who abides with and dwells in us.

During the earthly ministry of Christ, His physical presence with the disciples was more than sufficient but when he left them, he sent the holy spirit who will do exactly what he would have, in His presence, done for them.
To be ignorant of the purpose of the infilling of the holy Spirit for believers today is to live a confused, frustrated and defeated life. Among others, the holy Spirit searches the heart 1 Corinthians 2:9-12, convicts of sin John 16:7-11, bears witness to our salvation Romans 8:14-16, gives us the victory during temptation Romans 8:2, Gives us Revelation, Joel 2:28-29, teaches and guides us into all truth John 14:26, 16:13, Empowers fir soul winning Luke 24:49; Acts 1:8, 13:6-12, Directs the evangelism work, Acts 8:26, 16:6-10, Anoints for service, Acts 10:38.
Therefore, no believers can experience the fullness of God's power in life and ministry without the infilling of his spirit. As ever before, spiritual landscape is littered with demonic activities and operations of the devil. They all aim at weakening believers and limit their progress in God's service.
The infilling of the spirit opens a believer to the floodgate of God's unlimited, invincible power, enabling him to do great exploits and experience the needed breakthrough and progress in the work of God. It connects a believer to God's omnipotence and raise him to the realm of unlimited possibilities. There cannot be fulfillment in the ministry without the infilling of the spirit in a believer's life. Much labour will be greeted with little or no result, leading to frustrations and spiritual weariness.
Having considered the priceless purpose of the infilling of for the spirit, there are some Paramount prerequisites for possessing this glorious experience Genuine and current experience of salvation, Ezekiel 36:25; 2 Corinthians 5:17, practical experience of sanctification, Ezekiel 36:26-27, strong thirst and desire, Matthew 5:8; john 7:37-39, sincere prayer of faith and patient waiting to receive, Luke 11:9-13 Hebrews 11:6 .
